We strive to be friends of Plashet Park and create and maintain a green space that caters for all our community. We seek to respect the Park's history, its nature and its facilities, as well as work together to create a strategy that sees the continued improvement of the Park and its offering.
History
Plashet Park was first opened in 1891, from land that was taken from the former grounds of late 18th Century manor, Wood House. The Park is truly a heritage site as its layout has largely remained how it was during the Victorian era, although some features, including its bandstand and drinking fountains, have now gone. The Passmore Edwards Library that can be seen in the background of the photo here is a Grade II listed building.
